Nehemiah Project

The Nehemiah Project “ Backpack Chattanooga” program is on a mission to bridge the educational gap and remove barriers that hinder students' academic success. We are committed to equipping children with backpacks filled with essential school supplies, fostering a sense of confidence, and inspiring a love for learning and love of the Lord.

The Nehemiah Project:

After discovering how many children from low-income families came to school without sufficient supplies, we started this program to ensure they had the supplies to do well in school.

Over 90,000 backpacks have been distributed to children in need since 2001. This is accomplished in partnership with area Title 1 schools, corporations, local churches, and non-profits.
