The V-Team “Save our Sons” Leadership Academy is going strong and making a difference in our community!

African American males are overrepresented in our country’s correctional facilities and underrepresented in the business and educational world. It is estimated that one in four black males in this country will spend time in a federal or state prison during the course of their lives. 40 percent of black males are either on probation, on parole, or in prison. The number 1 cause of death for black males between the ages of 15 to 24 is homicide. The unemployment rate for black males is a staggering 32 percent. Half of black youth live beneath the national poverty level.

Although these statistics can be discouraging, we are not discouraged!

We are encouraged through Christ Jesus!

Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.
