GOOD STEWARDSHIP IS BEING RESPONSIBLE

"A Voice with Vision and Victory for the Game of Life"

Most people, when they think about stewardship, think about money.  Stewardship relates to managing what belongs to God, which includes everything (Psalms 24).  Your time, talents and treasures all belong to God. He created everything, including us in His image and said for us to rule or have dominion over the earth.  That makes us overseers—managers of God’s possessions.  Since these things do not belong to you, you should handle God’s time, talent and treasures with the utmost regard and respect.  You should become—if you are not already—a good steward and be more responsible with God’s resources (Matthew 25:14-30). If you don’t learn and practice being responsible with what you already have, you will probably not be responsible with having more.  God wants you to be faithful over a few things first, then He will make you ruler over many things

(Luke 16:10).

This PEP TALK is to help you become a better steward of your life.  God wants the best for you and you should want the best for yourself.  You have a certain amount of time in life to manage, so do it well, because time waits on no one.  You have been gifted by God and your own training to do something to provide for you, your family and those around you.  Your talent or gift will make room for you.  Use it.  Through your talent and abilities you will earn money, or treasures to be used to meet your needs and help build God’s kingdom.  That is why you are really here, to help God and others.

To move forward, consider these things: Pray for strength and wisdom to make better decisions.  Get out of debt so you will not be controlled by material possessions, or by others, especially your creditors.  Start saving more to give more to God’s kingdom.  Your peace of mind and stress level will be much better and God will be pleased.  Becoming a good steward will position you to prosper and live a much more enjoyable life.

“Wise decisions will lead you to a place of contentment, joy and peace.”

Today’s Prayer:  Dear God, I want to be a good steward.  Teach me through your word and others to be more responsible.  Amen.
