ALTER YOUR DIRECTION
"A Voice with Vision and Victory for the Game of Life"
There are ways that seems right to a person, but in reality could be a path to destruction. Evaluate your results and if necessary alter your direction before it is too late. Listen to your parents, friends, teachers, coaches, or anyone who really cares about you. Often you are hearing and seeing warnings, but yet you continue to ignore the truth. As long as you are in denial, you will never be able to alter your direction; for if we do not recognize and admit our problems, we cannot change course to correct them.
It is easy to be on the road to self-destruction, yet be enjoying what we are doing in the present so much that our satisfaction seems at an all time high, preventing us from being able to let go or alter our direction without help. Stop, look and listen to your inner spirit. Think about what you know is right and best for you in the long run. Don't try to rationalize, to justify or convince yourself and others that what you are doing is right, when deep within you know it is wrong and could destroy you.
Alter your direction; turn it around; come back to your basic beliefs and teachings. You can do it! All things are possible with God. This PEP TALK is meant to help you re-evaluate your direction. All of us have veered off track and headed in the wrong direction. Often all it takes is opening our eyes to the feedback we are receiving from those who care about us and recognizing that we are off course and need to make what is often only a slight correction of course to get back on track.
To get to the best and right track, we must follow the instructions and directions that God provides. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life." (John 14:6) You are so special to God that He died for you. You already have the ability to make better decisions, if you will look within and listen to your heart. You are a role model for someone, whether you realize it or not, and you should model the best for others to see. You can do it! Put on your game face, make up your mind, and get on with altering your direction!
"If now isn't a good time for the truth, I don't see when we will get to it."
~Nikki Giovanni, Poet/Activist
